No, said the shelter. We don't have room for him anymore. We must euthanize him.
Yes, said the rescue. We have a foster home who will take Jack.
Yes, said Jack's first adopters. We'd like to take him home.
No, said Jack's first adopters. We can't keep him.
Yes, said his fosters. We will take him back.
No, said his fosters. We can't keep him any more. He needs more exercise and is acting out.
Yes, said his new foster. I will take him.
Yes, said his new adopters. We know he has issues, but we've trained Border Collies before. We will work with him and even do agility training. We will take him home.
